        “Juan De La Cruz – Shake Your Brains-1973 Philippines”

        After releasing one album as a quintet (Up In Arms), Juan De la Cruz soon downsized to a power trio and recorded their next studio album in 1973, featuring their classic line-up of Wally Gonzalez, (lead guitar,vocals), Joseph ‘Pepe’ Smith (drums,acoustic guitar) and Mike Hanopol on bass and piano. Totally rocked out bluesy stoner jams, with sex and party obsessed lyrics.The Juan De la Cruz Band played at the Antipolo Rock Music Festival in December 1970, Pinoy Rock’s version of Woodstock.
