Sino ba ang may TOYO?
Bandang TOYO is a band formed in 2006 who has gone through a lot of personnel changes over the years. Their music is mainly a tinge of Blues, Classic Rock and Pinoy Rock. They have put out an album in 2010 entitled “Sino Ba Naman ang Hindi Totoyoin?” Their songs in the album were mostly inspired by the plight of the common Pinoy. Their 3rd single, “TOYO,” the band’s anthem, was nominated for “Song of the Year” in the last ever NU Rock Awards. They also put out two singles during the pandemic. First was “Stay Home,” which was inspired by the experience of the pandemic. And the second is their Christmas song, “Love and Peace for All,” a reminder that giving should not be confined to just season but the whole year round. All of these songs can be found on Spotify (https://spotify.link/AkHVGrmUZyb).

Bandang TOYO, for a long time, played as a power trio, but later on experimented on being a quartet (and even a quintet during the pandemic). Their sound has varied over the years and with different personnel, but the theme of the songs have not changed.

Their line-up today consists of original member Erwin Cuenca on bass and lead vocals, returning original guitarist Mike Garay on 1st guitar and vocals, returning alternate guitarist Miguel Valdez on 2nd guitars and their full time drummer and vocals since last year, Ronnie Segovia. A 5th member is Mark Galang on keyboard and vocals but is on hiatus because he is pursuing a career in Musical Therapy and Medicine.
