TO ALL MUSIC ENTHUSIASTS:
MECHANICS

1. The Sarap Mag Babad Battle of the Bands is open to all amateur bands with a minimum of 3 members and not more than 7 members. By amateur,

2. The competition period is from March 2, 2012 to May 11, 2012.

3. Participating band members must be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old.

4. Participating bands must play pop, acoustic, or reggae music only.

5. Each band must present twenty four (24) San Miguel Pale Pilsen 2012-marked crowns upon registration.

6. To register, participants must download the registration form from the San Miguel Pale Pilsen website ( http://www.sanmiguelpalepilsen.com.ph ), San Miguel Pale Pilsen Facebook account ( http://www.facebook.com/sanmiguelpalepilsen ), or the Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) website ( http://www.rmn.ph ).

7. Upon registration, participating bands must sign a waiver form explicitly stating that any member of the band has not yet performed, or in any way participated in a professional band competition yet.

8. Participating bands must perform the following:
a. One (1) cover song
b. One (1) original composition
c. Sarap Mag Babad jingle

9. During the competition, the crowd may cast votes for their preferred bands using the San Miguel Pale Pilsen 2012-marked crowns.

10. They may drop the San Miguel Pale Pilsen 2012-marked crowns in the assigned drop boxes placed near the stage.

11. Participating bands will be judged with the following criteria:
a. Lyrics & Musicality – 40%
b. Originality – 20%
c. Stage Presence – 20%
d. Crown Votes – 20%
Total – 100%

12. The following prizes will be given to winners and participating bands:
a. Elimination (Week 1 to 8)
i. Winners : P2,000
ii. Non-Winners : P1,000
b. Semi Finals (Week 9)
i. Semi Finalists : P3,000
ii. Consolations : P1,500
c. Finals (Week 10)
i. Grand Winner : P10,000
ii. Consolations : P5,000

13. Participating bands must ensure not make use of malicious or malevolent content during their performance. Non-compliance will result to disqualification.

14. Interested participants must submit a demo tape to the Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) stations for pre-screening at least ten (10) days before the performance date.
