SigawPilipinas, a Nu Metal band from Pasig/Marikina, established in 2011. Their musical style is predominantly influenced by bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machhine, HED P.E. The band consists of Jet Tan on vocals, Weng Bernal on guitars, Andre Aguilar on bass, Jaypac Macutay on percs and synthesizers, Dan Acosta on turntables, and Rhovie Conde on drums.

*How did this band get its name?
-To express our music and so that the grievances of the Filipino people can be voiced out and it started as SIGAW at first but when Gerald from Saydie mentioned Sigaw Pilipinas on one of our gigs, we decided to include the PILIPINAS

*Brief history or fun facts about the band:
-Rising from the ashes of defunct Pasig City-based metal band Zavulon and Headshot, Sigaw Pilipinas’ founding members restructured their music to a genre closer to home, giving more reach to the Filipino masses. The band tackles relevant social issues with songs about freedom, democracy, injustices, inner demons, and natural disasters. Heavily influenced by Francis M’s Hardware Syndrome plus a host of other artists within the hardcore / rap-metal scene– the Sigaw Pilipinas’ signature sound is fast and pummeling, hard and heavy, and driven by pure emotion, rallying the rest of the nation to remind us of who we are and what we’re supposed to be as Filipinos.
