Hey-hey gangstas – whassuuuuuuuup?! …. well quite a lot actually, if we were to answer that ourselves!
“These Wounds” – Album Release:
The previous newsletter mentioned that this was coming up…. and the moment has finally arrived: the album will be available for download and physical distribution on the 28th May 2012!
Some reviews it’s gotten so far!
“Compelling… Brilliantly executed!”
KERRANG! MAGAZINE“You need this band in your life!”
BIG CHEESE MAGAZINE“One of the best UK-produced rock albums you are likely to hear this year.”
CROSS RHYTHMS RADIOYou can pre-order from HMV: HERE
And from Amazon: HERE“HEAL THESE WOUNDS” Launch Party:
Don’t miss this for all the tea in China (and the surrounding regions)!! It’s gonna be huuuuuuuuge – so big, we had to give it a website of it’s own: http://www.healthesewounds.co.uk/
Actually, this album launch is not just about Firefalldown and the album, it is also a fundraiser to support a friend of ours who has been battling a nasty disease for years – please see the video link here for Brittany’s story: http://www.healthesewounds.co.uk/brittanys-story.html
So if you’re in, or near (or not too many time zones away) to London on the 9th June, then please don’t miss out on this one!!!! Tickets are available online http://firefalldown.bigcartel.com/product/album-launch-tickets and also at the door (but they’ll cost more at the door). For those of you who sadly can’t make it – WE WILL BE STREAMING THE WHOLE EVENT LIVE!! So please check the album launch site (above) for details… and if you feel led to make a donation to support Brittany, please, please do.
Gigs past and future:
We’ve recently been gigging up and down the country (putting some serious miles on the old band banger), and have had a load of fun in the process… if you live anywhere near Wakefield, then we’d have to recommend the Snooty Fox as an AWESOME venue for live music… the guys there really are supporting the music scene.
Also up North we did a show earlier in May with “Malokai”, http://www.malokai.co.uk/ – so a big shout out to all the cool kids in st Catherines Acadamy in Bolton – we hope to see you again… and well done to the guys from “Quick and to the Pointless” – a good performance from some young talented dudes!! – To all those coolios who turned out for the Swindon show at The Platform, I’m sure you didn’t regret it!
The annual Meltdown conference
http://www.meltdownmusic.co.uk/ was this past weekend in Wales, and was crammed with the entertainment and encouragement we’ve come to love from the Christian Hard Music event of the year!! We even had Mike Reynolds from “For Today” http://www.fortodayband.com/ take some of the sessions. Live videos are always generated kindly by Pete Willoughby http://www.youtube.com/user/WhiteMetalMan … so you can see us and the other bands from the Meltdown weekend on his Youtube Channel. Here’s us doing “I Am the Way” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqjyfidIrfM&feature=relmfu – Our future gigs are all listed on the site (with events on Facebook), so stay tuned: http://firefalldown.weebly.com/upcoming-shows.html
Fat blessings out to y’all, and thanks for your support!! See you on the 9th of June!
