8.19pm Modern Suicidal Lifestyle by Pepito Roman (Nueva Viscaya)
“Up next, we have a hard-hitting and brutally honest song titled ‘Modern Suicidal Lifestyle.’ This track confronts the dangerous and self-destructive habits that have become all too common in our society.
People often live recklessly, treating life as an endless celebration without considering the long-term effects on their health and well-being.
With its repetitive and impactful lyrics, it serves as a wake-up call about the serious health risks associated with modern lifestyles. Let’s take a moment to reflect on the message of ‘Modern Suicidal Lifestyle’ by Pepito Roman”
8.24pm Kinabuhi (Life) by Cyber Band (CDO)
“Next up, we have a powerful and thought-provoking song by Cyber Band titled ‘Kinabuhi.’ This track delves deep into the impermanence of human life, the impact of materialism on our planet, and the pressing need for change.
It even reminds us that even nature, represented by the heavens, is mourning and yearning for positive transformation. It criticizes the materialistic and exploitative tendencies of human societies, indicating that the earth has been taken over by greed and the pursuit of wealth. Some of us are willfully ignorant and apathetic towards the problems and suffering in the world, choosing to ignore the issues rather than addressing them.
Kinabuhi challenges us to reflect on our ability to create change and question whether humanity can break free from the cage of materialism and exploitation.
With poignant lyrics that challenge us to reflect on our values and actions, ‘Kinabuhi’ is a call to wake up and take responsibility for the world we live in. Let’s listen and let its message resonate with us.”

“Kalawakan” emerged from JyEL Tagbo’s imagination around the year 2000. The music was created in collaboration with his then-colleagues, Carlito Cadag and Warren Oates. The trio, initially known as the supergroup “Nabuleyd,” eventually parted ways. Nabuleyd disbanded and transformed into various other groups, including “Nabuleyd Murder”, “Evermizzed”, “Kayumanggi”, “Sensitivo”, and “Parokyano”. The latest and current iteration is named GALAJUAN.
Over more than two decades, the song “Kalawakan” has endured and remains popular on the airwaves.
“Kalawakan” speaks about striving to reach the highest possibilities that one can achieve, a theme inspired by JyEL Tagbo’s own youth when he composed it. The song encourages young people to strive for excellence for the sake of future generations.
“Lilipad na ako, sasama ba kayo? Anjan na ang aking sundo.. patungo sa KALAWAKAN”… Tara na

8.41pm I Hang Back interpreted by Jenny Belle Peñano Baul (Davao City) words by Lakota Bronson/Coach (Regents Park); music by Jyel Tagbo; co-arranged by Jyel Tagbo & Butch Monserrat
“Up next, we have a deeply introspective and emotionally charged song titled ‘I Hang Back,’ beautifully interpreted by Jenny Belle. This piece, composed by Lakota Bronson with music by Jyel Tagbo and co-arranged by Jyel Tagbo & Butch Monserrat, takes us through a journey of authenticity, vulnerability, and the unspoken emotions that often linger beneath the surface at social gatherings. “I Hang Back” is a poignant and introspective song that delves into themes of authenticity, vulnerability, and unspoken emotions in social settings.
It is about choosing to “hang back,” not wanting to participate in what is a superficial charade.
It is about seeing through other person’s facade of strength and being drawn to their genuine, flawed self, and refusing to exploit the person’s pain. In spite of the emotional distance, it is the promise to hold on and not let go, reiterating their choice to “hang back” and observe rather than engage directly.
‘I Hang Back’ is a testament to the beauty found in our flaws and the strength in vulnerability. Let’s dive into this captivating song and let its poignant lyrics resonate with us.”
