Halmista was formed in 2004 by Skitz Trinidad (Vocals/Guitar) along with Raymond Villar (Drums) that started out from a trial jam to see if things will work out because Skitz was looking for a drummer who had a drum set nonetheless whether he was good or horrible, things turned out pretty well but the band faced several line up changes, but finally was able to meet Kris Gomez (Lead Guitar) in 2007 and August Villamor (Bass) in 2008. From that became the solid line-up that Halmista is now known for, Fusing various musical genres from each member's influences, helped in the creation of Halmista's signature sound that shows a new breed of power metal fused with thrash metal and prog.
